La Poste has gone mobile. On Monday, 30 September 2024, Mauritius Post Ltd advanced its digital transformation by launching the MAUPOST mobile app, modernizing postal services across the country. The app allows citizens to manage shipments and access postal services directly from their smartphones.

Launched by Minister Deepak Balgobin during an official ceremony at the Ministry of Information Technology, Innovation, and Communication in Ebene, the app enables real-time parcel tracking, online payments (including customs fees), and delivery scheduling based on users’ preferences. Users can also send parcels, view their postal transaction history, and find nearby post offices via geolocation.

Minister Balgobin noted that the project aligns with Mauritius’ national strategy to digitize public services and enhance the country’s standing in the tech sector. Along with the app, Mauritius Post launched a new website offering e-commerce services and parcel tracking. “In today’s fast-paced world, efficiency, convenience, and innovation are key to any successful service. The MAUPOST app and new website are significant steps in meeting the digital needs of customers and ensuring greater convenience and accessibility for everyone who relies on Mauritius Post,” he remarked.
