Xavier-Luc Duval, leader of the PMSD, spoke on October 16 at a congress in Belle-Rose. He expressed concern about the drug situation and suggested dismantling the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu). This idea contrasts with Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth’s stance. Duval referred to Paul Lam Shang Leen’s recommendations on drug trafficking and proposed several solutions. He even suggested bringing in foreign experts to help tackle the problem.
Duval also addressed infrastructure issues in Quatre-Bornes. He noted progress with the Saint-Jean cemetery and flooding, but more improvements are still needed.

During his speech, Duval criticized his political rivals. He compared his career to Arvin Boolell’s, claiming to have performed better in various roles. He also mentioned that working with Paul Bérenger is challenging due to his character.
